How was your first day at Cathy Hammer Secondary School?

Juliana:

On my first day, my mum brought me to school. I was welcomed by teacher Mme Agnes and teacher Mme Zawadi and met my classmates. We are only one class for now. And I immediately liked the very good infrastructure of the school.
 
Richard:
Most of us didn’t know each other before. The teachers directed us to the classroom when we arrived and we were introducing ourselves to our classmates. Very quickly we started talking to each other and becoming friends. The same morning, we also received our new school uniform. That was exiting, because the uniform was different to the one I was wearing at my previous school.

Do you remember your first lessons at Cathy Hammer Secondary School? 

Richard:
Yes, it was geography with Teacher Henry. This was my first time having a geography lesson and I liked it a lot.

Juliana:
I liked it too. Starting Secondary School means that you have a lot of new subjects. The teachers are helping us a lot to get a better understanding for the new topics.

What are your favourite lessons? 

Juliana:

I like the most biology, physics, mathematics and chemistry.

Richard: 

My favourite subjects are chemistry, mathematics and physics.
 

How do you see your future profession?

Juliana:
 I want to become a doctor, who does operations. That’s why I am very much looking forward to the practical courses in the laboratory at Cathy Hammer Secondary School.
 
Richard: 
I wish to become an engineer one day. I want to engineer jet fighters, because they are big and impressive. At the moment, I try to train my engineer skills at home by assembling wires. 

What non-scholar activities do you like to do in your free time?

Juliana:
I like playing netball.

Richard: 
And I am a big fan of football. I like the Tanzanian football club Simba and PSG (Paris-Saint-Germain). One of my favourite players is Lionel Messi and of course I like playing football with my friends.
